guys I am going to pt pleasant tommorow to do some fishing for black fish, Ling(sp?)and cod. What can I expect? I heard they are heading out 20 miles. What kind of a fish is ling? Im totally clueless when it comes to salt. Thanks

I've never been on one of these trips but this much I know. You will be fishing deep, it will be cold on the water and they are all good eating fish. I heard cod is like reeling in a sack of potatos, Ling I don't know. In any case have a great time and share the fillets.

Ling is closley related to a Cod. They have a little fo man choo on the botom of the lower jaw. Seriously.

Holy shit what a disaster!! 21 miles off shore and im sea sick. 8 ft swells and windy. The fishing absolutely sucked. Which in a way is good because there was no way I was fishing.

Sorry to hear that you had a lousy outing!
I would definitely go on a boat to fish in February but it would have to be in the Bahamas or the Carribean! Even if it were calm out there it had to be freezing!
