TOPIC: New Guy Tx ?'s
#5058
New Guy Tx ?'s 14 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: -15
Was reading thru the Tx rules and I wanted to ask a few questions.....

- Although we know it is much safer to ride with a life jacket,There is no penalties or points deducted for not wearing one while the big motor is running? Do you at least need one on board for each member?
-100 yds from the launch is acceptable distance to be counted as "back at the ramp" a slong as you are not fishing?
-No penalties for receiving any kind of ticket while on the water/DEP,speeding,etc....

Not trying to be a Bitch, just wanted some clarificashe.......

That's right Paulie. Not only is there no points penalty for not wearing a life vest while the big engine is running, we encourage our members to stand on their seats and drive once the boat is up on plane. You get a better view of the lake that way.

In all seriousness...wearing the life vest is highly recommended but. no you are not forced to wear it.

Be careful. Depending on time of year the state laws have changed.

The NEW New York State Law requires all persons aboard boats 23' and smaller to be wearing a life preserver at all times between November 1st through May 1st.
