Due to the closing (to everyone) of the Bantam Lake launch we are going to fish Candlewood on Sunday 7-12-09. It was offered to me by the DEP of CT along with East Twin however East Twin has a 12 boat permit for a night tournament that is fishing until 7:00 AM. In Candlewood there is one other tournament going out with a permit for 30 boats at 7:00 AM but that is the only other for the day and we get to launch from Squantz and begin at 7:30 and fish until 3:30.
These choices were given to the tournament committee and since all members of the committee are fishing it was fair to get all of their votes, Candlewood won 4 votes to 2 over East Twin.
I will make it my business to let everyone know of this change it should not be too hard since we have 8 boats with a total of 14 anglers!

That really sucks about Bantam, one more lake that we can't fish. I say next time fuck permits launch and hold weigh in on the water. Government sucks from the top to the bottom.

We really need to investigate using one of the other ramps there. The public ramp at White Memorial is open if the water level allows us to launch there. There is also that marina toward the south side of the lake that has a decent ramp - we should contact them about a group launch fee.
Wasn't Livingdead going to find out about the ramp located over by the creek. I think that is also part of the White Memorial property.
This really SUCKS dick!

After launching at White Memorial I can say that there is not enough parking for trailers. Maybe 5-6 can fit. tops. It would be a squeeze for more. The only problem with the launch is a big stump. Roberto had to manuver my trailer that is not as near as wide as most of the other club members trailers. If you feel okay with using the private home driveway you can go straight back and avoid the stump. Roberto did not want to do that. I would say that we can launch 5 with no problem.
