I Like your answer Booze, I am happy to see that you are willing to share. Leigh you had it right the first time, now you want to follow Nick...Pick one. Mike got it right picked what he thought would catch and what he likes to use (the most fun to fish) Now I'll add a twist, what is your favorite season to fish? I like the Summer because I feel the fish are more predictable. However I love being out on the water in the Fall.

The question of the choice of one bait is of course for the most versatile bait you can think of which would be a Senko, except if you get to a specific season. For instance in early Spring at a place with Smallmouth Bass if the water temp is cold you can't beat a hair jig and just a little bit warmer and the jerkbait rules.
As far as what lure I like to fish, I like a jig and a texas rigged worm, they're kind of basic but I like them for Summer fishing, the worm in the vegetation and the jig around wood, trees, etc.

If I only had one bait like when I started it would be a rapala. I wouldn't be tournament fishing if I can only have one bait and if you are only going to catch a few might as well add some excitement.
My favorite bait would be a whte Terminator spinnerbait
