Found this on New York Bass thought you might be interested would never want to fish Zoar this time of the year but possibly next spring? We had some tourneys where guys have brought in 14 and 15 in the past as well.

Lake Zoar tourny
Fished a 14 boat club tourny on Zoar Sunday, what a rock and roll event. Boat wakes were BRUTAL and there is no place to hide being the lake is so narrow .

Anyway we had 11.23 for 5 fish and finished 4th., yeah 4th. where 11.23 is usually 1st. or 2nd.
The thing that was really surprising was that 1st. had 15.95, what a nice bag on that stingy lake.
They had 2 Smallies near 4 lbs. and their lunker Largie went 4.66..

Luckily we started at 5:00am and were done at 1:00pm. It took forever to get off the water because guys with jet skies and fun boats had the dock tied up and it was tough just to drop off your partner to get the trailer. What a ZOO.

The guys that won also had 2 big Walleyee, one was close to 10 lbs. but they did released them.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that there are actually some decent fish in there.

As a follow up we have never had 14 Lbs weighed in at Zoar closest was Greg Ohlander on August 27th, 2005 with 13 Lbs. 14 Ozs. that was the only limit that day.
2nd place was Jimmy Kancza with 3 Bass for 5 Lbs. 5 Ozs.
4 anglers skunked.
16 total anglers brought in a total of 27 bass for a total weight of 47 Lbs. 15.5 Ozs.
We fished from 5 AM to 1 PM.
We held tournaments in Spring, early and mid Summer, late Summer and early fall.
We fished there in 1996, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2016 and never beat that weight and it was a great one.

All that said I would go in the Spring.
I would never go there in the Summer!

I know that in recent times we didn't have as good of a tournament as in the past. However, I think the best was a team tournament that I remember Chris, when they won, hung the plaque from his nipple and had some good weights that day. Other anglers did well as Mike Wiltshire weighed in a big limit. Packes weighed in over 9 lbs. Adonis had Big Bass with a 4 lb.15oz. I have the photos so I'll track the year for you. I know dating far back I won a tournament there with a little under 11 lbs. However, it's just another lake that we can go to and challenge. Again that's what this forums about it's just a a way to throw suggestions out and get ideas for next season. Another lake to reconsider would be Lake Housatonic. Looking for feed back.
