I'm with you boys on this as far as opting out tomorrow is concerned.. As much as I would love to fish out this season with a great race for the AOY going on,There will be many days ahead for all of us to continue the sport we all love without the risks involved going through with the TX sceduled.
Leigh's tuna sandwich theory about weather forecasts is dead on and the fact that we could be trapped on the other side of the island just doesn't make it worth the time and effort.
If the Tx goes as scheduled tomorrow I hope all that go a safe trip to and fro and good day on the water...I'll bet they are Chewin'..."Wood

Unfortunately we have officially cancelled the tournament.

Mikey "Doesn't know the meaning of not fishing" Wiltshire and I went Pond hopping today. Visited Blydenburgh, Hauppauge Lake, Belmont Lake and two others. Mike caught a 2 1/2 pounder on his first cast and exclaimed; "They would have been chewing at Oscawana today!" Seriously we had a good time jumping around from lake to lake. I have not fished from the shore on Long Island for a long time, I was very surprized at the amount of weed growth on these lakes. It was great to be out so... screw you Irene!
By the way next week is Labor Day weekend. I am supposed to be going away with my family for the weekend. Does anyone else have plans as well? I spoke with Kenny yesterday and he is going to try and accomodate the club as best as he can with the re-schedule of Oscawana.

I have booked the launch at Oscawana (tentatively) for Outcast next Saturday Sept 3rd, and I have spoken to about 10 people who are able to go so if you want to do this we can!
Joe try to make a change of plans, or is anyone interested in Friday the 9th of September for the reschedule?
