For those of you fishing Highland Lake on 9/10/16 there is an event on the lake in the first bay from the beach near the launch. There will be kayaks and swimmers in the water for the event in the first bay from 9 AM until 11 AM, since we are there from 7 to 3 the DEEP of CT asked that we stay out of the first bay in those hours. If you must be in there you will have to stay on your trolling motor ONLY and stay away from where they are. Best bet is be out of that bay by 8:45 and don't go back until after 11 AM.
Anyone who interferes with this event and creates a problem will be disqualified from the tournament, we cannot risk losing fishing rights and permits for tournaments in CT.
If this is a problem for anyone in particular please call me and I can speak with you about what I was told by the DEEP when they called me.
